.Retirement ends 30-year link with ISA layers

General manager Stephen Turner presents a bottle of vintage port
and some china items to John Durkee who retired at the end of May
as area sales and technical manager for Wales and the Border
counties after an association with ISA layers stretching back
more than 30 years.

Originally he was due to retire two years ago, and received a
cheque from the company at that time and a snooker cue and
waistcoat from his colleagues, but subsequently opted to stay on
for another two years in a part-time role.

‘John is looking forward to having more spare time to enjoy
his hobbies – snooker among them - and to relax a little,"
says Stephen. "Indeed, the day after his retirement he jetted
off on holiday to Canada, so obviously he will not be letting
the grass grow under his feet!"

The new area manager is Richard Jones, and for his last six
months John has been introducing him to customers and industry
contacts. "We are confident that Richard will provide equally
as good service, loyalty and commitment to the company and
ISA products as John has always achieved."
